GDH

Gross Domestic Happiness

After GMM Tai Hub (GTH), a Thai forefront filmmaker and distributor closed down, GDH 559, a Thai filmmaker and distributor company was established. The company strived to create novelty and raise the quality of Thai movies and TV series comparable to international standards. The intention was to bring smiles, laughters, and joyous feelings to promote the gross happiness of all audiences.

GDH stands for “Gross Domestic Happiness”, translating to “Gross National Happiness” in Thai, which was a suitable unit for measuring success in filmmaking. It reflected the happiness of both “audience” and “Thai filmmaker”. The company looked forward to creating novelty and raising the quality of Thai movies and TV series comparable to international standards. The intention was to create smiles, laughters, and positive satisfaction to promote the gross happiness of all audiences.

The overall logo must be round, with no cutting, no chipping, or do not show any flaws. According to Feng Shui, GDH is a gold element. The required characteristics are “circular, rollable, solid, and overall must feel round.”

The lettering's design must be easy to read with "heads", look contemporary, compact, friendly, and serve the communication needs as much as possible to deliver happiness from lettering to readers.
